“I love ceramic because it’s a simple material”

I’ve always worked with ceramic also thanks to the fact that since 1978 my dad has produced ceramic products in his factory.
I started to work there, initially monitoring the production process. I learned to recognize different kinds of mixtures and enamels, the various firing techniques, the instrument’s usage and I also started experimenting in the modeling field.
I love ceramic because it is a really simple material and it entirely originates from natural elements.
Ceramic allows me to create every kind of object, giving free reign to my creativity.
I experimented different kind of firing methods, in particular, since my first experiences, the Raku technique drawed my attention: it is a Japanese ceramic production procedure which is genuinely linked to the zen philosophy.
